Thus ended the catastrophic birthday party. Susie Spikes demanded her goody bag, learnt Mr. Boxx had forgotten those too, and huffed all the way home. Clark Happy Boxx, meanwhile, removed his party hat and lay down on his mother's damask rug to cry for several hours.
It was, without a doubt, the worst birthday party of his young life. |
